A guide to finding and understanding care

Questions to take along

# Leave with answers you can use.

The situation

The visit is close, and you do not want to forget the question that brought you there. Put the essentials on a short list.

Ask for an explanation, then write down the answer in the treating person's own terms.

- Bring the notes

- Ask the questions

- Keep the answers

Use your notes to keep the discussion on track.

FDA is the federal drug agency: the Food and Drug Administration.

## Name the medicine and the purpose

- What is the exact drug, product and form being discussed?

- Which health concern would this medicine treat?

- What supports that use, and what remains uncertain?

- What other care options can we discuss?

## Name the people and the pharmacy

- Who assesses me and who writes any prescription?

- What are their Georgia license details?

- Which pharmacy would prepare or send the medicine?

- If it is made to order, what patient need calls for the change?

From the record

### You need the maker's name to check its record

FDA notes that people using online platforms may not know who made their made-to-order medicine or how that maker is licensed.

Record checked in September 2026.

## Put the cost and follow-up on paper

- Which parts does the price cover, and which bring extra charges?

- What will I pay when an opening offer ends?

- Who responds between visits, and how can I reach them?

- Can I have the plan and follow-up instructions in writing?

## Bring a note about your own situation

List your medicines, the concern you want help with and anything you want explained before deciding.

Ask how to raise a question that comes to mind after the visit.

## Leave with names and a plan

- Repeat the plan back and check any unclear point.

- Request copies of the product details and cost terms.

- Ask what the next decision is and when it needs to be made.

## Keep the next question in view.
